(More customer reviews)This is an excellent piece of hardware, with quality and features rivaling those found on scanners used by my professional photography friends. Well built and very easy to install with the USB interface, the 4000U, coupled with a good printer and the right medium, will give photographic prints indistinguishable from any you'll get at the corner pharmacy. A wide range of choices of scanning resolution and color depth, plus the legal size scanning bed make this as versatile as you'll ever need a scanner to be. The only caveat would be the LE versions of Photoshop and Omnipage OCR, although these versions will certainly meet the needs of most users. This scanner is certainly worth the few extra bucks it costs more than the bargain-level scanners and will still be in use when the others have been put on the shelf.
