(More customer reviews)It looked like this was going to be the perfect item. It was small, easy to handle and operate and all you had to do was plug it into a usb port and you were ready to go. But, I had a real problem with the quality of the scans. The entire slide had to be very bright or the scan would be too dark to correct. Attempting to correct, even with superior graphics programs like Photoshop, resulted in major pixelation or washing out of the image.
The company, AEI, was fantastic about it. I sent an email with samples of the scans, hoping there was some fix available. Unfortunately, there was not. They allowed me to return it for a full refund.
I assume it works well on some machines and just is not compatible with my system. I sure wish it had worked for me since everything else was perfect. I've decided to send my slides to a scanning service to be put on cd/dvd.
