SVP PS9700 Black(with 8GB)3-in-1 Digital Photo/Negative Films/Slides Scanner with built-in 2.4" LCD Screen Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)We have purchased other slide scanners in the past and have found them to be less than optimal in performance. The SVP PS9700 has proven to be a excellent purchase. We had over 2,000 color slides, some dating back to the early 1960's, all of which were in slide reels. The scanner has an internal memory card, but it does not hold many slides. Our machine came with a 8GB external memory card. Not being familiar with the use of an external memory card, we could not get the PS9700 to recognize it. We contacted the SVP technical help line and found out that we needed to format the card on our computer. Once we did that, away we went. We scanned all of the slides onto the 8GB card and then downloaded them on to our computer. If you do not want to use the card, you can download directly to the computer. It takes the PS9700 about 2 seconds to scan a slide. Once you figure out how the slides need to be placed in the slide tray so that they show up correctly on the PS9700 screen, the remainder of the process is quick and easy. We now have all of the slides on our computer and have eliminated two large boxes of slide reels.
