It works well and when I initially set it up the technical people guided me through quickly as I had a differernt operating system than the scanner was originally equipped to handle. It's very compact and uses just the USB wire. I haven't had any problems after almost a year in use but admittedly I'm not a very demanding user. I do mainly gray scale but on the occasions I have used color or different sizes -- business cards or longer paper, it worked just fine.
That said, I'm now searching for a scanner that can hold multiple pages as this is sheet fed one at a time.
