(More customer reviews)This is about what you would expect for a $100. slide and negative scanner. It takes strips of negatives a group of 5 slides. The resulting scanned images are sharp enough for 5"X7" prints but the contrast(increases contrast) and color depth(decreased number of colors results in more posterish pictures)suffers. Unfortunately, to get better results you have to go to a scanner the costs 3 to 5 times as much.(the epson v700 is a good example). The good news is that it is easy to setup and scan. It saves directly to an SD card (one was included) so you don't have to use the computer. I like to scan watching TV to avoid the boredom. All in all, I got what I paid for.
