First off, if you are going to use this with an American DJ Accuscan 250, dont buy the Arriba AC-85 mirror protector - it is too generic and too long to fit inside this case.
The case is well made, and makes carrying the Accuscan a heck of a lot easier, however is not well suited for protection. I tried to call the Arriba Co. at least 20 times over 3 weeks with no answer, and left at least two messages. They do not return calls. Oh yeah! I forgot, their email always bounces back because their mailbox is too full! Since I could not find an alternative product and couldn't reach Arriba, I decided to perform my own modifications. I placed a sheet of 1/4" thick Masonite in the bottom (full length), and then a piece of 3/4" thick polyurethane foam rubber over that (long enough to go up one side for the mirror end as well). Place the Accuscan face down into the case. With this inexpensive modification I give it 6 stars.
Instead of the AC-85 for the mirror, use a heavy rubber band around the neck frame and then around the pin that prevents the mirror from turning too far. That should prevent dammage to the motor and mirror during transportation.
A note to Arriba: Try answering your phones, and returning calls - not everybody wants to yell at you. Respect your customers and read your email. Do some customer surveys and find out that most professional DJs do not want bulk adding fancy zipper pouches on the sides of carry bags that get caught on doors, wall corners, and other equipment. We have far too many cables that would never fit inside the pouch anyway! Loose it.
Amazon! You rock!
