(More customer reviews)Microtek's M1 is the worst scanner I've used. The 1st one I bought worked great for the 1st set of slides I did. Then, a couple months later, the 2nd set didn't scan the colors correctly by a long shot.
Soooo, they had me pay to send it back so they could send me another one...which turned out to be WORSE! It wouldn't even come on at first. The lights flickered on, then went off quickly. And, even though I put the tray & slide tray in correctly, when I pulled it out, the slide tray fell into the scanner -- ??? Still can't figure that one out. So, the slide I had in it and the tray had to be jimmied out -- which scratched my slide!!!!!!
I'm thoroughly pissed and am sending it back. I'll stick with well known companies like Nikon or Epson.
