(More customer reviews)This was my first scanner and I sure did enjoy having it. However, I am operating it in the Windows Vista in an odd way. I may not be installing a driver right, but I am scanning in the Vista, just in a jackleg way. This scanner does not do PDFs, which is the reason I need to upgrade.
Mostly what I did was scan photos, nice clear, colorful. I like the steps it took to get a simple photo scanned. The scanner feature is the EPSON Smart Panel. It will Scan to Email, Scan to Files, COPY, Scan to OCR, Scan to Application, Scan for Creativity, Scan to Web, and Photo Print.
What I like with the simplicity of the steps, not clouded with excessive features the average person won't know about. The instruction booklet is great, well defined instructions, illustrations, and even shows how to work with certain image problems. The scanner comes with a film hold and slide holder.
As I said, before you purchase you made need to find out if it is compatible with Windows Vista. I couldn't get it to work on my new computer with Vista. Otherwise, it is a great scanner. ...Rizzo
