(More customer reviews)I purchased a 7250u a few weeks ago. I've tried a number of solutions for scanning slides and B&W and color negatives (including an HP Scanjet 4050 which others have highly rated.) The worst 7250u scan looks better than the best of others I've tried. The 3600 and 7200 DPI scans are awesome! Digital ICE is a life-saver on old media!
The included software works very well but could use a little user interface tweaking in an upgrade.
If you want high quality scans at an affordable price, I don't think you can beat this scanner.
