(More customer reviews)It "just works" on my Macbook Pro (10.6.4). Brought up the keyboard detect dialog, which I exited, and it scans perfectly. Tested in TextEdit, then started using to scan books & CDs to sell! I don't see any reason to spend any more money than this great scanner!
It can take a bit of aiming to get a barcode. I usually hold the trigger and move it up and down a little until I get the beep. Even with that, it only takes a couple seconds to scan something.
