Used this printer for almost two years with zero problems. Plugged it in and never turned it off. Printer wakes up quickly and print speed is pretty good. If you have weak power wiring in your house, you may notice dimming of the lights when printer heater turns on from sleep. So if printer is connected to the same power outlet as your computer, you better use UPS for your computer to prevent accidental rebooting. If memory doesn't fail me, printer heater draws 1-2kW at peak. I don't use cable to connect with computers, all computers (running Vista) easily connected via WiFi. The toner life can be significantly extended if you cover the little opening on left side of the toner cartridge. I got 1100 pages from the starter cartridge that way. Printouts are consistently good quality, they get lighter at the end of toner life as expected.
