(More customer reviews)I have given the Phaser 6180MFP five stars in all available categories. Had there been a categories for "Ease of setup" and "Documentation" it would have gotten four and three stars respectively in those.
That said, the Phaser 6180MFP is a very reliable workhorse that does everything it is supposed to do and does it well.
Xerox customer service is pretty good; waiting time is minimal and the a.e. is resonably understandable.
My main printing is training manuals (hundreds of pages duplex color printing). I scan every document I get and keep truly paperless archives.
My faxing is minimal but I use a dual number single line with an automatic switch. It works as it should.
I do not use the email feature and make very few hard copies.

(More customer reviews)Fabulous. Expensive, but very worthwhile as a heavy-duty multi-function machine. Weighs a ton and takes up lots of desk space, but reliably spits out large quantities of faxes, printouts, and copies. I had a couple of cheaper ink-jet fax machines, and they would choke all the time on large documents. This one has yet to have a problem, with months of heavy use. Scanner and scanner software works well and is easy to use, even for the non-technical.

Hewlett Packard Laserjet 1220 Print/Copy/Scan Laser Printer Review

(More customer reviews)This is an amazingly fast machine for printing and scanning for a great price. I have been scanning all of my personal and business documents for two years. This allows me to avoid filing and storing paper. This machine allows you to scan documents quickly and then laser print them quickly when you need them. I use my 1220 with Scansoft's PaperPort document management software. If you want to work with documents, forget color printers and flatbed scanners, get the HP LJ1220.
Here are a few items to consider.
1) The free HP Document/Image Management software does not yet work with Windows XP, so I recommend using Scansoft's PaperPort Deluxe.
2) If you were to purchase a Visioneer scanner with an ADF (automatic document feeder), you would pay more than you would for the entire HP LJ1220. It is like getting the laser printer for free.
3) There is no difference between the HP LJ1220 and the HP LJ1220cse. The HP LJ1220 is for HP's business resellers, where the LJ1220cse is for the consumer outlets. Again, they are the same.

HP Photosmart C4580 Q8401AR Inkjet Printer Review

(More customer reviews)DON"T BUY A WIRELESS PRINTER FROM HP.I bought a Photosmart C4580 printer last summer and the wireless "radio" has a known software glitch that HP technical services has been unable to fix for six months now. I have tried repeatedly to download the "patch" that I found on HP's website but it still does not work.The patch downloads okay but the problem doesn't change.They have a one year warranty on printers but that is only good for 21 days as a technical services person recently told me. I have been told many times that a "supervisor" will call then when they call a week or more later they say they are going to have to "escalate" the call and I have to talk to a supervisor. A week later someone calls and says sorry--"I can't help you, you have to talk to my supervisor, he'll call you". This has been going on for weeks now. They don't even sell this printer anymore which is pretty revealing but I wouldn't trust any wireless printer from this company at this point. My HP notebook can't manage to communicate wirelessly with my HP printer and HP technical services can't figure it out. How does this company get awards for customer service? I think their customer service is horrible. I have been getting the run around for almost six months now.

(More customer reviews)Every thing about this printer is perfect for my use except the printer's unbelieveable thirst for ink. I don't print photos but it's almost as if I can hear the ink being sucked away. At roughly $40 a refill, it may become too expensive.
I've had the printer just over a month and had to refill. December was a high use time because I was printing 2009 calendars, with lots of color, and with preview copies, probably ran more than 100 pages. Very fine quality printing but whoooosh! ink's gone.
