COBRA DIGITAL DPF200RED 1.5-inch Digital Photo Frame (Red) Review

COBRA DIGITAL DPF200RED 1.5-inch Digital Photo Frame (Red)
Average Reviews:

I ordered this frame as a gift for my cousin. I didn't pay much attention to the dimensions, which was my first mistake! After going back and reading all the information, I thought well, I guess it is going to be rather small. I could have lived with small! When the package came in and I opened it, I pulled out a digital picture frame alright, called the Incredible egg. It is actually shaped like an egg. It looks NOTHING like the picture! I was absolutely DISGUSTED! Now I find out that it will take a month or maybe more to get my money back! I will NEVER shop online again!!

Epson Compatible Stylus Photo 950 /960 Cyan Review

Epson Compatible Stylus Photo 950 /960 Cyan

A couple weeks went by after placing my order for this ink and it had not arrived. I contacted the seller, no response. Ordered on Jan. 11, never got it. Contacted seller two more times, no response. I will seriously reconsider ordering anything online again. The only reason I put a star in the rating was to be able to submit this review. How can I rate a product when I never received it?

Orange Micro 70USB90020 OrangeUSB 2.0 Hi-Speed Cardbus PC Card for Notebooks Review

Orange Micro 70USB90020 OrangeUSB 2.0 Hi-Speed Cardbus PC Card for Notebooks
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
What a consolation to find a usb 2.0 pcmcia card that works so well after my disaster with the Adaptec 1420 card! (See my other review for that one if interested....)
No fuss, no difficulty in installation - simply downloaded the most recent drivers from OrangeMicro's website before buying it. Installed the drivers and then installed the card - voila! Four usb 2.0 ports!
I have a 48x24x48 Iomega external usb 2.0 burner; the card is completely backwards compatible and there is no loss of speed as far as I have been able to tell. (I am working off of XP Pro OS - no SP's installed.) And seeing as I have seven usb devices connecting to my notebook such a thing is very handy to have.
The accompanying external power supply could be a liability for those who need to travel with the card and some device or another, but I do not - mine is a desktop replacement and if I take it somewhere I unplug everything anyway before I go. So for me it is no bother.
I would highly recommend this card if you have several usb devices of both sorts (2.0 and 1.1) to your notebook if it is a desktop replacement like mine is. If you are a notebook user of the more mobile type, though, this card might not be for you.

The OrangeUSB 2.0 Hi-Speed CardBus PC Card allows you the freedom of mobility with your portable computer. The USB 2.0 CardBus is a dramatic performance increase over the standard USB 1.1. Whereas USB 1.1 is only 12Mbits/s, the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed specification used by the OrangeUSB 2.0 CardBus runs at up to 480Mbits/s. USB, standing for "Universal Serial Bus", allows you to attach multiple peripheral devices simultaneously with automatic device detection and installation. The OrangeUSB 2.0 Hi-Speed CardBus Card is "backwards-compatible" which means you can plug in your older USB peripherals along with your USB 2.0 Hi-Speed peripherals with no loss in performance of either.

10/100 PTZ IP NETWORK CAMERA, CCD, Review

10/100 PTZ IP NETWORK CAMERA, CCD,
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a DCS-6620G and DCS-5300G. They both developed minor problems shortly after the 1 year warranty ran out. The DCS-6620G ethernet port failed and the DCS-5300G pan capability failed. I called DLink tech support and they told me that they will not repair these products or exchange them after the warranty, and that there are no authorized service centers. I escalated through 3 levels of tech support and then to US customer support and was given the same story and no way to get them repaired. The customer service lady stated that this was their policy on all products. They expect you to discard your $800 camera and buy another one. I recommend you don't buy any DLink product costing more that $100 - $200 as they are not very reliable and are disposable once they fail.

Lexmark Z82 Multifunction Machine Review

Lexmark Z82 Multifunction Machine
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Lexmark Z82 is a printer, scanner, copier. It is a good looking product with a flat-bed scanner/copier and basically what is a Z52 printer. It has parallel and USB connections and was very easy to set up after taking it out of the box. Lexmark does a thorough job at initial set up of setting printer allignment. The Z82 prints very well - both black text and color. The color graphics are vibrant and realistic. I haven't tried a photo yet, but the Z52 is known to print beautiful photos on photo paper, so I expect the Z82 to do likewise. You'll need a photo cartridge, however, as it ships only with black and standard color. It also ships with a parallel port cable, so if you intend to use a USB connection, you'll need one. Copying functions are good also, if a little slow, as are scanner functions. Some of the software leaves a little to be desired - the 'Samsung Smarthru 2' - which sets-up e-mail and faxing capability from scanning - seems a bit tedious and unnecessary, especially if you're an experienced 'scanner.' The only minor problem I've encountered is that after copying, if you try to print or scan immediately, you'll get errors or smudged printing. Waiting a few moments or rebooting solves that problem. All-in-all, this is a good value for an excellent color inkjet (its really a Z52) with added copy and scan functions for an additional $60. Worth it!

Combining a scanner, printer, and copier in one sturdy case, the Lexmark Z82 is the perfect addition to home offices. With print speeds averaging 4 ppm color and 8 ppm monochrome, it may not keep up with high-volume users, but the quality makes up for the lack of speed. The print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi will make your cover sheets, charts, greeting cards, and standard office documents glow with vivid colors and crisp detail. Paper -handling options include sizes from legal (8.5 x 14 inches) to index cards, and weights from delicate transparencies to sturdy card stock. When scanning, the Z82 offers 300 x 600 dpi, 8-bit grayscale, and 24-bit color, which add up to millions of options for your graphics and photos.
The device is compatible with either PC or Macintosh systems, and is capable of either parallel or USB connections. Lexmark provides a one-year warranty on parts and labor, along with Express Exchange service.

Solus Pro 2.0 for Palm Review

Solus Pro 2.0 for Palm
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
One of the things I was really looking forward to as a new Palm owner was having maps on my Palm. I found Solus Pro 2.0 at a nearby store and picked it up, thinking it was just the thing. Well, I'm a bit disappointed, and here's why:
First, reading a map on your Palm is a lot harder than reading a printed map, for some reason. Expect to be disoriented a lot.
The maps on the CD work pretty well (I was using the San Francisco map). I could find places to go reasonably well. My biggest gripes are the speed (slooow), and the fact that street names don't always follow the street. For example, if I look up a street that runs the length of the city, and then zoom in on it, it's name is not necessarily displayed any longer. This was very frustrating when zoomed far in, as few if any of the streets I was looking for were labelled.
... I downloaded a map of the city I live in, and found it fairly useless. Zoomed out, it displays no streets. Zoomed in, many streets simply have no name. The size of the map is also very limited, and no location (businesses, restaurants, etc.) data is included.
Overall, this is a decent product for the maps that are included on the CD. I'd hesitate to recommend it's use outside of those areas. And I'm still looking for that ultimate mapping software package...

Compaq iPAQ Compact Flash Card Expansion Pack Review

Compaq iPAQ Compact Flash Card Expansion Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Compact Flash Card Expansion Pack adds the feature that seems to be the most wanted by iPaq users. Without a doubt, the ability to use Combat Flash cards is very useful, and coupled with the iPaq's stellar mic out, makes the iPaq an excellent MP3 player. If you into eBooks, Compact Flash cards will be indispensable to you as well.
One word of warning, however, the addition of this expansion pack, like the PC Card Expansion Pack, makes the iPaq, as an unit, very large. Whether this will bother you is of personal preference. I felt that the adding size was well worth the added ability.
I don't use Compact Flash all the time (only when I want music), so making this an option instead of a standard, makes sense to me. Without the expansion, the iPaq is small and extremely comfortable to use.

I'm not quite sure if it is the HP handheld scanners or the barcode reader attachment I am having prblems with but at the New York International Gift Fair in August I had a LOT of problems. When trying to scan the handhelds would just lock up - we were able to manually enter the SKU but the scan attachment would not work until the scanner was completely reset... I needed a card reader at home to access DoD Sites. This card reader was instantly recognized by both Windows Vista and Windows 7. It configures well with the software needed to access DoD cites with your CAC and software for digital signautes. The only issue I had was Computer Brain did not ship to an APO. I had it sent to a family member in the USA who forwarded it to me.
