(More customer reviews)Every thing about this printer is perfect for my use except the printer's unbelieveable thirst for ink. I don't print photos but it's almost as if I can hear the ink being sucked away. At roughly $40 a refill, it may become too expensive.
I've had the printer just over a month and had to refill. December was a high use time because I was printing 2009 calendars, with lots of color, and with preview copies, probably ran more than 100 pages. Very fine quality printing but whoooosh! ink's gone.

(More customer reviews)Great sound from a little package. This is the tiniest unit and you would never guess but it has a huge sound for it's size. I have an Acer laptop which I love. It's performance is practically flawless --- Except the speakers, which are the worst. You can barely hear music from them. So I purchased these speakers for a boost in sound and they work great. I think they're priced a little high, but they do have a tremendous sound for the size. Very portable and easy to take along.I would recommend them for the traveler. There a great addition for a laptop with low sound performance and very portable.

(More customer reviews)This KVM switch does not support native resolution of 2560x1600 when connected through display port cables. However, StarTech claims that it supports such resolution and it's written on the box too. In reality, this KVM can't go beyond 1900x1200 resolution. I tried all trial & error methods using different cables. When I called StarTech technical support, they also agreed that this switch currently does not support 2560x1600 resolution, and that they are still working on it. Then why they advertise wrong resolution on this model. Thankfully, I was under return period, and as always, Amazon is great in return issues.

Kodak ESP 5250 All-in-One Printer Review

(More customer reviews)In my home network I have 3 pc's (wired) and 2 laptops (wireless) all connected by a Linksys router. Two of the pc's are for my kids who print out stuff for school and work. Before I bought this printer I had an older HP inkjet connected to my primary desktop (mine). Whenever someone needed to print anything my computer had to be turned on first. Rather annoying.
Not anymore! This Kodak printer so far has been fantastic. The full size instruction manual (no cheap photocopied sheet of paper) explained the whole process from opening the box to connecting it to your network wirelessly. With step by step illustrations that were easy to follow. Within minutes it was up and running perfectly having automatically detected my network SSID and connecting when I typed in my security passphrase on its built in keypad.
What I like:
Easy installation. Nice print results. I haven't printed any photos yet so I don't know how they look. Included in the box are 3 sample sheets of 4x6 photo paper so I'll have to try it. It's totally wireless, so I placed in in an armoire centrally located in my home so it is accessible to everyone. The unit can be left on and after a selectable period of inactivity it powers down in energy saving mode. You don't need to turn it back on at all or wake it up. It automatically connects and prints when when a request is sent. Very nice feature. Also, it uses a separate printhead independent of the ink cartridges. I guess this way it ends up cheaper to buy ink because the printhead is not part of the cartridge itself. It comes with a nice comprehensive software package which completed the installation process flawlessly.
What I didn't like: It is a tad loud but nothing I can't deal with. When inputing a passphrase via the keypad it defaults to uppercase. After a few minutes of trying unsuccesfully at first to connect to my network I realized that I needed to switch to lowercase. A press of a button switched me to lowercase and bingo! passphrase accepted. When you first open the box it appears that part of the AC adapter is missing. It is actually packed underneath the printer where you can't see it.
All in all I'm very pleased with this printer and highly recommend it. Ink cartridges seem to be a lot cheaper that most others too.
Time will tell but I'm very satisifed so far.

(More customer reviews)I installed this hardware on a new computer running Win'XP so I had nothing that first needed to be uninstalled. I chose the non-standard installation because I did not want HP's photo editing software (I have Adobe Photoshop Elements and Photoshop Album) and I have no use for the IRIS software for converting scanned documents into text files. The installation went smoothly and my document and 35mm slide scans were successful at the first attempt. 35mm slides can be scanned either mounted or unmounted. The scanner seems exceptionally easy to use and is a huge improvement over the ten year old scanner that it replaces. Everything about the scanner's appearance reflects very high quality and so far I am very satisfied indeed. The documentation that comes with the scanner is very limited, sufficient for the install but does not cover any of the adjustable scan settings - you have to go to the help files for that.
