(More customer reviews)I bought this to add to a laptop to drive a CNC controller using Mach3. You're not supposed to use a laptop, and add-on parallel ports are questionable too. But so far I have my micro mill under computer control using the StarTech card. It does really appear to be the closest thing to a "real" parallel port. So far it fools Mach3, which does some nitty-gritty low level realtime stuff.
