(More customer reviews)While the touchscreen interface is worth 5 stars, the entire reason my agency upgraded to this HP scanner over our old one is moot. We've wasted every penny spent on it. The whole point was to be able to do larger scan jobs faster and with more compression. Yes, it scans faster, and yes it has more compression so our files are smaller, but in the end, what's that worth when it DOES NOT SAVE LARGE JOBS if it jams?
While this scanner has a "job build" option, it's useless because when pages jam - which they inevitably do at some point, and I've had plenty of them already - all the pages that have been scanned prior to the jam are completely lost. This scanner, unlike the old HP scanner, is not programmed to be able to resume a job once it jams! So if we attempt to scan a record that is 350 pages long, and it jams on page 299, the entire job is lost and we have to start all over again.
What's the point of a job build feature, if it is incapable of building the job! The old HP scanner was programmed to resume a job once the jam was cleared. Even if I was interrupted during a scan and it finished, it "knew" to save the job even if I didn't push the finish button. This new "state of the art" scanner DELETES the job if I do not press "finish".
Complete waste of money. This failure alone outweighs all the benefits of the upgrade.
