(More customer reviews)Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. I really like this Vibes Enchanted design for the ipod nano 5th Generation. It looks great and I've gotten compliments from friends. The way it's made, it looks like the ipod itself has the design rather than just the case. I also find that the soft casing makes it easier for me to use the turn wheel than the hard cases I've encountered. Most of all, it serves its purpose and keeps the nano safe from harm.
Like with anything, however, I have seen several drawbacks to this product. The one that pesters me the most is that quite a few dust particles can still get under the case. The dust and fear of scratching was why I got the case to begin with. I've seen cell phones that I've had and other mp3 type devices that get all the dust trapped underneath the screen so that's always a constant concern for me. Another nuisance with this, is how difficult it is to get the case on and off. I know that it has to be on the snug side to make sure the product doesn't fall off but its definitely not as easy as the instructions show. It took me about 2 or so hours straight of fighting with it before I could get the case off to clean out the dust that had accumulated. Since it's new right now, maybe it'll get easier over time. I'm not sure. The final problem I've noticed is that the case's screen scratches pretty easily. There's a couple light scratches on mine already that produce a kind of rainbow effect through them while I'm trying to watch videos on my ipod. I ignore them fairly easily though. There's also a bunch of really light wear on the screen that doesn't really affect viewing on my ipod. I'd like to point out in saying this that I am very careful with my ipod. It doesn't get bounced around or dropped a lot so there shouldn't really be scratching on the case's screen yet like there is. It usually just sits in a pouch inside my purse if I'm not listening to it.
Even though the case has its problems, I'm still happy with having bought it. Like I've said, I really like this design and it looks great on the ipod. It's also a relief just to have the ipod protected in some way since it's so expensive. I wish the case hadn't cost as much as it did but I found it cheaper here on Amazon marketplace than anywhere else I looked. I could have gotten a case for around $10 on ebay but they would have hid the real color of my ipod which I wanted to show off. So all in all, this is what suited my needs the best.
