(More customer reviews)Was very excited to get this for my win7 media center pc. This took us about 2 hours to figure out how to install and get this thing working.
Getting they key code finally came up. after trying to figure that out for another 15 minutes we got it locked in.
You have to create a key code if you can figure all this out. enter it on the remote/new device.
in order for it to even recognize in windows you have to keep pressing the control button on the keyboard.
As for now I do not have a review on the product itself. other than packaged very well. it is very nice.
hard to type of due to size but thats expected. Will take a few days to get used to.
I'll re review this when I have some time to play with it.
So far so good. Just hard as heck to get working.
Mouse is very quirky.

(More customer reviews)I wanted a new mouse and keyboard, and when I saw this package I was intrigued by the fingerprint reader. And skeptical too. Like the title of my review says though, it's amazing. The fingerprint reader was so easy to set up and works like a dream. If you're like most internet users, with an ever-growing list of logins and passwords, then I promise you'll love this feature. The keyboard itself is very comfortable and has lots of cool features, like easily programmable 'favorites' buttons for launching commonly used programs, and other buttons that I wasn't expecting that were a great bounus: like My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, Mail, Web/Home, Messenger, Calculator, and more. Also buttons for controlling speaker volume and media playback. The wireless optical mouse that's included is great -- also easy to set up, fast and smooth cursor control, good scroll wheel with tilt feature for horizontal scrolling. I have average to smaller hands and the mouse fits me perfectly. If you have large hands you may find it a little small.
Overall, I highly recommend this optical desktop package.

Perfect, no issues hooking it up, holds a charge for quite a long time, wouldn't recommend playing a game with it, but for everything else, its perfect. Blends with regular remote controls, doesn't interfere with other wireless mouse/keyboards. I don't use the laser pointer, but it works too. Also, the mouse interface that plugs into the usb is on the side of the remote, so its hidden for easy travel or storage so u don't lose it

(More customer reviews)Overall I am impressed with this product. The unit itself feels sturdy, the key presses are solid and responsive*. The track pad is laid out well, with the right and left buttons in a good position. The back lighting is uniform throughout the keypad, and produces more than enough light to see even the blue Function options for the keys (Mute and Pause specifically).
I would have liked to have a side scroll option on the track pad, as it is somewhat of a juggling act to hold the left mouse button down with one hand and scroll with the other (You can Function + Down which acts as Page Down).
As for the abysmal.. The provided Bluetooth dongle is garbage. As mentioned in other reviews the range is about 7 feet with DIRECT line of sight. For the HTPC in my bedroom I snaked a USB extension cable through to the corner of the desk to provide line of sight for the unit, but even with it there are occasional issues.
*I would not recommend this product to be used in a typical living room HTPC setup, RII produces a Wireless RF version Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad (RT-MWK01) of this product with vastly superior range.
I would absolutely recommend this product however for a bedroom/apartment/dorm setting where range is not an issue.
