(More customer reviews)I recently got a Lexmark Z23 printer when I bought my new iMac. The printer works very well. However, you should know that in order to get a good solid black, you need to have the black cartridge (10N0016) as well. The color cartridge will provide a nice black, combining the magenta, cyan and yellow. But the black cartridge is almost mandatory for any real depth to your graphics. Or a clean type treatment.

HP 21 Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (C9351AN#140) Review

(More customer reviews)I myself am having the same problem that alot of other reviewers are having with this product! While I am happy with the HP Printer itself, this #21 cartridge doesnt hold enough ink and runs out VERY FAST(mine ran out in two weeks). Keep in Mind that I only use the ink to print postage and I always use the fast draft which uses less ink and I STILL have to replace the cartridge frequently. I can only imagine if I used the normal print mode, I would be running to the store every other day to replace the cartridge. Of course most of us know that these companies dont make money on the actually printers, they make money on the ink! Anyway, I am going to try one of those refill kits and see if that cuts down on the cost!

(More customer reviews)This review is for Canon BCI-6 ink tanks. As I have found with all the Canon products I've owned, these are rather expensive, but are of excellent quality. Having owned other, less expensive, printer brands, and having been disappointed by them, I always opt for a Canon poduct if one is available in my price range. The ink, of course, is part of the bargain. I never refill and I never use non-Canon ink. While expensive, I feel the quality of the outcome is worth the price. I would, and do, recommend Canon to anyone considering a printer / copier purchase.

Canon PG-40 Black Ink Cartridge Review

(More customer reviews)My first PG 40 lasted only 2 months, disappointing as cartridge cost was one of deciding factors in buying my Canon Pixma MP 170.$20 (Staples) was low compared to previous printer cartridge but not for two month usage. With next cartridge, I used "fast" print option and continued to use for 1-2 months after "low ink" message appeared, this one lasted 5-6 months, which is o.k. for cost. I then had one refilled at Cartridge World and it lasted only 45 days, tho I was doing somewhat more printing during that time period. Use "fast/draft" option,and ignore low print message,--- just print till it's out of ink ----and it will last much longer. I will probably buy from Amazon as cost is lower (providing you order $25 and get free S & H) and this is hard to find in my area.

(More customer reviews)This ink tank works in the Canon PIXMA MG6120 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One Printer (4503B002). It's easy to install. The other day I decided to research Canon's ChromaLife 100+ ink & was surprised to learn that prints made with this ink will last over 100 years!
This ink tank is easy to install in my Canon printer. The ink doesn't run when it gets wet & the prints should last over 100 years. I'd say those are great reasons for using Canon ink in my Canon printer.
Thought I'd mention that the ink is in a black tank so you can't see the ink level. I get printer messages that the ink tank might be empty; I don't replace the tank until my printer won't print and/or there's a red X above the tank. As long as I'm printing text I don't worry too much about quality as long as it's readable. If photo quality suffers, I will replace whichever tank is necessary.
