(More customer reviews)When I saw this product it struck me as a wonderful item. I could rapidly scan all of my old photos and not take days doing it. I read reviews where people reported white lines appearing on the scanned photos. Well, mine did have them. There was no rhyme or reason to it either. I could scan a photo and not have any lines in it, then scan it again and have 1 line, 4 lines. I never knew what it was going to do. I did follow the instructions and calibrated the device, cleaned it, etc. The lines still showed up. Seeing it for myself I find the lines to be unacceptable. I wanted to digitize my old photos to keep them from wear and signs of age. Not scan them and have artifacts in the finished product that weren't there when I started. The time saved using this device compared to using a flatbed scanner for photos is not enough to overlook this fault.

Wolverine F2D 35mm Film to Digital Image Converter with 2.4-Inch LCD and TV-Out Review

(More customer reviews)Recently ended up with several thousand family 35 mm slides and promised my brothers I would scan the slides and create a digital collection for each one of them. Received the scanner and after a bit of reading, had the slide scanner up and working relatively quickly. Previously I scanned on an HP Scanjet 5470 and the process was slow and not the best copy quality. I am finding that of the slides I have scanned so far with the Wolverine scanner, they are all coming out on the dark side and require work to optimize contrast, etc. Many of the slides that are winter shots are washing out as if the light source in the scanner is not consistent across the surface. No amount of processing with software has, so far, taken the scanned images to an acceptable image. If I had to do it over, I would invest in a better scanner.
