This is a nice little scanner. I've used a few slide and negative scanners, and this is by far the easiest to use. The bundled software is excellent. Although the device doesn't require a driver, it does require this software. As you slide the negative through you see a live view, then, once the image is centered, you click the scan button. The scanning is almost instantaneous, and the quality is perfectly acceptable. It does an excellent job of automatically adjusting brightness, and the scans always seem to be in focus. The bundled software lets you easily adjust color balance.
This is the only scanner I know of that will do 110 negatives. The 110 quality is pretty mediocre, but that's not really the scanner's fault, as indicated by the good quality of the 35mm scans. There just isn't much to work with in that case of 110. Still, it's better than nothing. And I was surprised to find that the negatives had held their color pretty well for 35 years, compared to the completely faded prints of same. This scanner is definitely worth the price.
