(More customer reviews)Really helps me hear the CHP which operates on 39MHz. I'm not clear why it is double jointed, seems to me just one would be needed. In any event, the joints are very tight, which is a good attribute for an antenna of this length. I'll probably order another one, as I have half a dozen scanners that can benefit from it.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this monitor antenna for my police scanner that I have in my car. Easy to install (just make sure its out of the way of your windshield wipers - I found that out). Reception is pretty good. This is the second antenna of this type I purchased. Have one on the outside window of my "man cave" - reception is good in the room too. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to listen to whats going on via the scanner.
