HP Photosmart D7360 Printer Review

HP Photosmart D7360 Printer

This printer produces drop dead gorgeous photos when using HP Premium Photo paper. They are practically dripping with glossy eye popping color! Text is also sharp and crisp. Normal copier paper is passable, but buying the special HP paper really makes a noticable improvement. (personal plug: you can buy paper and inkjet from HP's website with free overnight shipping with no minimum purchase!)
The touch screen makes printing from memory cards very easy. It also reduces the number of buttons on the printer itself -- which accounts for its sleek Mac-inspired styling. The printer can also fix exposure and red eye right in the printer! No need to connect it to your computer. In fact, I find myself copying photos from iPhoto to my memory card and then printing directly from the card (it seems easier than going through all the options in the print dialogue box). You can even print photos directly from your iPod with your USB dock cable! (Now, if I only had an iPod!)
The D7360 also uses HP's new inexpensive 6 color "02" inks -- which means you only need to replace the inks you use, and they won't cost a fortune. It's a fast printer -- but I take points off because the printer really shimmy and shakes your desk when it's printing -- like a little earthquake! Also paper handling is a mixed bag. There is a nice built-in tray for 4x6 photo paper as well as one for everyday 8.5x11 paper. Unfortunately, the paper trays do not fold up when not in use. And it's a bit of a hassle to remove paper when you just want to print one envelope or 5x7 photos. Lastly, the printer itself is rather large considering HP's all-in-ones add a scanner but are the same size.

HP LaserJet 1320tn Monochrome Network Printer with Extra Input Tray Review

HP LaserJet 1320tn Monochrome Network Printer with Extra Input Tray

My job as a notary signing agent requires that I do a high volume of printing on a daily basis. It's not uncommon that I'll have to print more than 250 pages for just one closing assignment. And I have to be able to do that several times a day. The quality of the printing has to be perfect -- page after page. And I need a dual tray printer, since the loan documents need to be printed on both letter and legal size paper, depending on the type of document it is.
The HP 1320t, with 2 trays, is everything that I need. It is a durable printer, which is what I need for the amount of printing I do. It automatically switches between letter and legal size flawlessly.
Most of the printing jobs that I receive come in the form of email attachments. Sometimes the jobs are difficult because the text has been scanned as graphics, which requires a lot of printer memory. I added an additional 128MB, for a total of 144MB. That made a world of difference. And I need to be able to use many different printer utilities. Not all of the documents come in Word or PDF format. The printer can handle any job, and any print utility, with no problems.
It was very easy to set up, and it's easy to maintain. For all of its features and capabilities, it takes up surprisingly very little desk space. I can't say enough good things about this printer except, if I ever need to buy a new printer, this will no doubt be the model I buy.

HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier Review

HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier

As a Computer Technician at a major electronics outlet, let me say I've been called apon to tech support all the issues listed previously and more. HPs install software on this model is notoriously buggy, especially under Windows ME and 98SE. I have also gotten numerous calls confirming issues with the printer rejecting the inks a month or two after purchase. Sometimes purchasing new inks works, sometimes it does not, leading me to believe it is a problem with how this printer authenticates geniune HP ink.
All in all, the customers who have gotten this printer to work and continue to work are extremely happy with it, but large scale issues getting it that far make me hesitant to recommend it.

HP OfficeJet 7210 All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner, Copier Review

HP OfficeJet 7210 All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner, Copier

About 2/3 of the reviews I saw on amazon were very complimentary, but I was reluctant to purchase the hp 7210 after seeing some negative reviews about installation, software, etc. Luckily, I saw a pc world review which rated this product as the finest in this price range. They were right (at least for someone with a two year old DELL Dimension with Windows XP and all of the recent OS updates).
Amazing copy quality, great color copying and scanning, installation took about an hour and was easy (I don't fax much, so I don't feel qualified to comment on this part).
I highly recommend this all-in-one product for home and small office use.
